About

Clayton Faulkner is a husband, father, student, and most importantly, a disciple of Jesus. A rather imperfect one. And the imperfections are what Clayton likes to hear left in his music – a rare and authentic sound in the auto-tune world we live in. Actively performing music since 1996, Clayton is a singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist playing guitar, bass guitar, piano, and trumpet. His influences are diverse, ranging from jazz to alternative rock to pop to country.

This blog is the result of Clayton’s strong desire to see passionate, lifestyle worshipers flourish across the body of Christ. Clayton holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Southwest Texas State University and a Master of Arts in Worship from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Worship Studies degree from the Robert Webber Institute for Worship Studies.

Clayton released his first recording in 2008 (Easter EP). His most recent recording (Family EP) is a collection of songs inspired by the experience of adopting their first son, Deacon, from Ethiopia.
